With the ContiMotion EVO, Continental is launching the successor to its popular ContiMotion sport touring tyre. The new tyre combines several product improvements and is aimed at riders who value a balanced combination of riding pleasure, safety and mileage.

“With the ContiMotion EVO, we’re offering a versatile sport touring tyre,” said Christoph Ettenhuber, Head of Business Field Motorcycle Tires at Continental. “It combines intuitive handling with reliable grip in both wet and dry conditions – all while delivering impressive mileage for everyday use.”

Significant over the ContiMotion

Compared to its predecessor, the ContiMotion EVO offers several technical improvements. New carcass materials provide additional stability and consistency, resulting in enhanced handling and more agile riding dynamics. This is complemented by updated compounds to improve wet and dry performance.

Convincing key product benefits

The ContiMotion EVO stands out thanks to four key features:

  • Intuitive handling and great agility for a fun riding experience. Continental’s EasyHandling technology and an optimised tyre construction deliver predictable steering
  • Strong confidence through reliable grip in both dry and wet conditions – thanks to an optimised hybrid silica tread compound.
  • High mileage and long-lasting performance thanks to its advanced compound and dedicated pattern.
  • High-speed stability, enabled by the ZeroDegree steel-belt construction and new carcass

“The ContiMotion EVO has been upgraded in key areas without losing the fundamental renowned qualities of its predecessor,” explained Christoph Ettenhuber. “Riders benefit from a tire that is noticeably more agile.”

Positioning in the sport touring segment

The ContiMotion EVO is designed for both sporty weekend riders as well as touring enthusiasts. Motorcycles that can be equipped with the ContiMotion EVO include, among others, the BMW R12 nineT, the Triumph Daytona 660, the Ducati Supersport 950, the Honda CB 650R, the Suzuki GSX-8TT and the Yamaha MT-09.

“The ContiMotion EVO is compatible with a wide range of popular naked bikes, roadsters and modern classics,” said Christoph Ettenhuber, Head of Business Field Motorcycle Tyres at Continental.
