H&H Classics has unveiled a 300-lot line-up for what is set to be the biggest classic motorcycle auction in the UK when its eagerly anticipated sale takes place at the National Motorcycle Museum, Solihull, on Wednesday 25th March.
The auction features 275 classic motorcycles and 27 vintage scooters and is the first of three motorcycle sales H&H Classics is holding this year.
Mike Davis, senior motorcycle specialist at H&H Classics, said: “This is a landmark sale for us, not only because of the sheer number of lots going under the hammer, but because of the quality and variety of entries on offer.
“It promises to be a very special occasion and a must-attend event for enthusiasts and collectors of classic motorcycles and vintage scooters.”
Highlights among the staggering number of desirable lots to choose from include a scarcely seen 1949 Vincent ‘transition model’ HRD Rapide Series C, estimated at £35,000-£45,000, and a fantastic specification 1969 Egli Vincent Black Shadow, given a guide price of £33,000-£39,000 and entered from the Keith Mason collection.
Also from the Keith Mason collection is a 1975 Suzuki RE5, the world’s only mass-produced rotary-engined motorcycle, with this example estimated at £8,000-£12,000, and an extremely rare 1946 Triumph Purdy Special, given a guide price of £20,000-£24,000.
There are also more than 40 entries from ‘The Road and Race Collection’, all owned by a collector of rare and important historic motorcycles.
Meanwhile, vintage scooter enthusiasts also have a wonderful selection of lots to bid on including a rare 1965 Vespa SS90, owned by Paul Melici of PM Tuning and estimated at £14,000-£18,000.
All lots will be available to view in person at the National Motorcycle Museum, Solihull, from 1pm on Tuesday 24th and from 9am on Wednesday 25th March, while the sale then commences at 11am.
Anyone looking to bid on one of the lots can do so in person, online, by telephone or by leaving a commission bid, while for more details about any of the classic motorcycles or vintage scooters, or to register to bid, visit www.handh.co.uk.
